In its second edition, UNIFEST will have three headquarters: Aranjuez Cinema where the opening and the closing will be celebrated, the two-hundred year Plaza de Toros (the Bullring) of Aranjuez which will hold the showings from Tuesday to Thursday in the open air, and the Cuartel de Pavía where, in his classrooms there will take place the educational and the training activities of this edition.

CINES ARANJUEZ (ARANJUEZ CINEMA)

The opening and the closing of the Festival will take place in this cinema room, framework of exhibition characteristic of the seventh art.

TWO HUNDRED-YEAR Bullring OF ARANJUEZ
Plaza de Toros Avenue

It this one of the most beautiful and oldest bullrings in Spain. It was built in the reign of Carlos IV in 1796 above one former of 1760. It´s one of the few bullrings of the XVIII century. It´s a bullring seating 9.500. It is classified as Historic and Artistic Monument.

The Official Section (the competitive one) will be showed on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at night in this place in the open air.

CUARTEL DE PAVÍA

The Festival will share headquarter with The Rey Juan Carlos Foundation, whose Summer courses take place in these same days in The Royal Town of Aranjuez. The building chosen is The Cuartel de Pavía, situated few meters of The Royal Palace and restored only some years ago by the Education Ministery, to lodge university classrooms .

In this scene will take place all the training activity (courses, workshops, conferences and meetings).

 

CAFE THEATRE “LAUREL DE BACO”
6 Eras Street

EIn this edition, the Cafe Theatre “Laurel de Baco” joins in the headquarters of UNIFEST’06 giving space for the music and the leisure inside the Festival. In this pub of Aranjuez with excellent atmosphere and music, very closed to the rest of the Festival´s headquarters, where there will take place two sections of the festival. UniMusica (a group of concerts of university students) and the University Meeting, sponsored by Avid (where the university students will be able to realize a manifesto for the universities).
