12/06/06 Thanks to Manuela Lema Aguila, Cinema, Stage Arts and Music Coordinator of this organization, the organizers of the Festival have established relations to invite to audiovisual industry´s professionals of this Latin American country. With this, the invited country of this edition become backed by his institutions publics and private. 12/06/06 In
the opening and closing of the Festival it will be posible to enjoy this
young wine which merges tradition and innovation. It´s a winery with familiar character situated in Laguarres (Huesca) but with young and innovative wine experts and tecnics who bet on new proposals around the cultute. In this way, They have found in UNIFEST the ideal framework to promote their new launch which it will be on sale in the near future.
The Cafe-theatre LAUREL DE BACO joins in the headquarters of the second edition of UNIFEST’06. The pub will be the meeting point among the audience in the festival. Furthermore, it will take in the UNIMUSICA section in which there will be great music promises. The Festival follows with its purpose of being a platform for the expresión of young creators.

A representative of SONY EUROPA will give in the prize in the Closing of the Festival.
The Argentinian scriptwriter known by movies like “Luna de Avellaneda”(“Moon of Avellaneda”) or “El hijo de la novia” (“Son of the Bride”) will be in UNIFEST. Castets will give a workshop on short film script for the university short film makers of 16 hours where all these students will learn how to make scripts. UNIFEST following with its philosophy and objectives, confirm this activity in the Festival for the training of the university students.
The Mexican producer RO75.Training Center supports to the International university students in the Festival following the compromise with the society, of specializing the youth with a quality training.

AVID, the editing software used by the university students, collaborate with the Festival bringing his editing programme through the workshops which it will impart during several days with professionals of the system.Furthermore, willing to support the young Spanish producers Avid will sponsor the Prize to the Best National Short-film, which is a software AVID XPRESS PRO HD.

The Aranjuez Cinema, located in the center of Aranuez, will be the framework to start the 2nd edition of Festival. During the opening, UNICINE will bring us the work of a recognised director. The same headquarter will be also the one of the closing to say googbye this edition of UNIFEST and to advance the third edition. This will be a perfect scene for the presentation and showing of the official prizes of this year.
This section is born with the objective of favorising the exchange of audiovisual pieces, and to make room to all national demonstrations of every country. 2nd UNIFEST's edition is already in action. From February 10 until the next May 10 the call remains opened for the reception of those shortfilms made by university students of the whole world. This year's objective is to reach for a major internationalization in participation. For this reason in this edition works are accepted in English, making easier the whole international community flow. On
the other hand, the Official Section in this edition is composed of three
categories: Fiction, Animation and Documentary, so that
prizes are established as follows: Fiction category will have a 1st prize
valued at 1000 plus and a full grant to attend to the International Photograph
in Cinema and Video Workshop of the producer ro75.Training Center in Mexico
in September and a 2nd prize valued at 500 Euros; and Animation and Documentary
categories will be rewarded with 500 euros each one. There will be also
two more prizes. The winner of the prize Aranjuez will receive 600 euros
and the winner of the other prize titled “La voz del Publico”(the
Voice of the Audience) will obtain a Mini DV Camera thanks to
audience election of the best shortf. 02/02/06
The City Council will hand over the two hundred-year bullring, to lodge in the open air the Official Section. Moreover, this year there is again the Prize Real Sitio y Villa de Aranjuez, valued at 600 euros, and a jury formed by members of urban associations will award.
The 1st and 2nd Prizes of Fiction UNIFEST, valued at 1000 y 500 euros, will be sponsor by this University as part of his trust in the proyect. More information: www.urjc.es
The Official Section´ short films of the first edition were showed to more than 300 university students in the bigger house of studies in Latinamerica. This meeting favoured an opened debate on the internacional university production in comparison with the Mexican Andrea Ansareo, Head producer, who concluded in the same event: “It come true one of the objectives of UNIFEST with the aprenticeship through the audiovisual culture”.

The Official Section of UNIFEST travelled to Mexico to be showed in two festivals in D.F.: the 3rd National University Festival ALUCINE and the 1st Independent Short in Video Festival called “Los Olvidados”. The Director, Azucena Garanto commented: “The UNIFEST´s works had a great reception by the Mexican audience … above all the quality and the thematic variety”. |

In
this second edition, the Embassy of Mexico in Spain throws oneself into
the university students in the world. The institutional representation
in Spain of the Mexican Government has decided to join the colaborations
of UNIFEST. 
With
the collaboration of UNIVERSIA since the beginning, now FUNVERSION joins,
the portal of leisure time and entertainment of the famous university
portal. 
For
second year in a row, the well-known enterprise of the audiovisual field
SONY will sponsor the prize of the audience with a videocamera for the
most voted short-film by those present in the official showings of the
Festival. In this way, SONY back the young gifted university students
who participate in UNIFEST.
Besides
being in the Festival in the section called UNIVOZ, there will be the
oportunity of having a meeting with the Director of the Training Center,
getting to know more its activity. Also, RO75 will sponsor (with Rey Juan
Carlos University) the 1st Prize of Fiction UNIFEST with a grant of 100%
to his International Workshop of Movies Photography Direction and Video
which will give Raúl Rodriguez Cabrera, profesor of the International
Cinema School of Cuba, during the month of September in México
City. 
This
is a new incentive to participate from all over Spain and to attend during
the Festival these workshops with the objective of taking advantage of
this training that is offerted by the enterprises, the institutions and
the Festival.
VIART,
Latinoamerican Festival of University Video (Venezuela) and The Muestra
La 240 of Costa Rica will offert to the audience the possibility of approaching
themselves to the more recent audiovisual works of the these countries´
youth.
The
URJC Foundation helps, one more time, to UNIFEST, handing over part of
his classrooms in Cuartel de Pavía where they celebrate his Summer
Courses 2006.Here, There will be mainly the training activities and the
attention to the organization and the official jury. 
A
country of a wide cultural richness and with more than the 60% of the
population young will be, in this ocasion, the guest in UNIFEST. México,
represented by ALUCINE (Nacional Festival of University Cinema), LOS OLVIDADOS
(Independent Festival of Short-films in Video) and KINOKI (Festival of
University Cinema) will be the festivals which will be in this edition,
in the new section called UNIMEXICO. 
UNO•SEIS,
independent newspaper of the Comunity of Madrid, is again the Official
Newspaper in this second edition of the Festival. Every fortnight will
publicate the last news of the Festival, and in July, there will be two
specials and a monograph.
FILMAD,
Madrid´s Cinema Festivals Coordinator, is born with the objective
of promoting and defending the cinema in the area of Madrid and developing
a real cooperation among the festivals members in equal conditions, as
well as proposing common actions and impelling the promotion of the festivals.
After
the sucess of the 1st edition, the City Council of Aranjuez has decided
to support firmly this University Short-film Festival which gathered youngsters,
professionals of the audiovisual and personalities of the academic world.
