Raising
a new edition of
UNIFEST
UNIFEST is a real success. In July 2005 a precedent in the world of cinema
festivals occurred: the appearance of a new festival wich, surprisingly,
was different from the rest of the existing ones. A project was born,
a project done by and for university students, focused exclusively on
them, adapted to their works, their ways of thinking and their necessities.
UNIFEST
´05 became a
space of expression for young people who had something to tell, and who
were doing it precisely while their process of formation in the university.
During
the three days of July in which it took place, more than twenty university
students (film makers all of them), other so many from the organization,
jury and people of all ages, concurred in Aranjuez, and were witnesses
of the materialization of an illusion and important contributors to the
creation of a dream-like atmosphere that all of us remember today with
satisfaction.
It is right
to thank all the companies and institutions that supported us in the most
important of the editions, the first one, because thanks to its confidence
we can write what is going to be Unifest ' 06. In this way, the importance
of our university, Rey Juan Carlos of Madrid, its own Foundation, the
City council of Aranjuez, SONY, Cadena SER and NOVORES, was vital; and
it multyplies in this second edition in wich we hope they won't doubt
about accompanying us again, having the guarantee of the affluent work
done that assures the more than satisfactory attainment of the first edition
of Unifest.
UNIFEST
’06 promises
to be a space in which both, the formation of the participants and the
interaction between all the assistants will be fomented through the celebration
of different activities og general interest and related always to the
world of cinema. Along with it, the basic pillars: the Official Section
and the Unimaratón, in which this year a greater number of short
will be seen and more countries will be represented thanks to the new
doors opened from the organization of UNIFEST.
With the security to obtain an unforgettable memory located in Real
Sitio and Villa de Aranjuez from the 10th to the 14th of July 2006,
we invite to all those who want to be spectators of the talent of the
young people from teh university. We hope they can accompany us and enjoy
so much as we do.
