It´s already more than three years ago that they were born in ALCINE,the Film Festival of Alcala de Henares, this conferences on Low Cost Cinema. Firstly, they were going to be called "Cinema without any “duro”(five peseta coin)" until the damned euro ruined us the name and so it was born"CERO BUDGET". The aim was always clear, demostrate to the youth and students that not only it´s possible to do cinema with few means but also they could go out from these conferences with the experience of having done it.

Then, the conferences have gone passing through differents formats and through them different guests. The privileged position of the Alcala Film Festival, with its 37 editions, allowed us to have wellknowns with us as Fernando Trueba, Daniel Sánchez-Arévalo, Nacho Vigalondo, David Planell, Borja Crespo, Javier Rebollo, Pedro Temboury o Jaime Rosales. As well as many others professional wellknowns who with we have shared workshops, discussion boards and conferences; touching all the fields like the script, the production, the direction of actors or the broadcasting and stressing the new technologies as the key element and main allied of this low-cost cinema.

All of this to arrive at Unifest, where we move with our scarce stuff to Fuenlabradra to offer you the “LOW BUDGET” experience. Through a group of conferences and meetings with authentic professionals in the art of creating art from nothing we will unravel the misteries and tricks which make possible the cinema of quality without the necessity of millionaire budgets.
